Hormone Therapy

Why consider Hormone Therapy?

To put a stop to hot flashes? Certainly. This is a common and familiar reason. But hormone therapy is not just for treatment of menopause symptoms, nor is it just for women or for middle-age and beyond.

Potential Benefits Include:
  • Increased energy
  • Improved mood
  • Relief from “brain fog”
  • Higher quality of sleep
  • Improvement in intimacy issues
  • Decrease in chronic pain symptoms
  • Increasing/maintaining bone density
  • Protective/preventative role for several disease states
What is the process to get started?

It typically begins with a brief physician consultation to discuss your needs and any questions or concerns. If it’s seems like a good fit for you, this will be followed by a formal consultation, which includes:

  • Review the symptoms that have led you to seek hormone replacement therapy (HRT)

  • Obtain and document your pertinant medical history
  • Pre-treatment blood draw, which is performed in our office for ease and convenience. This is an extensive panel that includes:
    • Hormone levels
    • Expanded thyroid panel
    • Key vitamin levels
    • Other important measures of general health

The cost for full consultation, panels of pre-treatment labs, review and interpretation of these labs, and crafting a treatment plan is $300

What does treatment cost?

The most common and effective treatment with the highest satisfaction rate is pellet therapy. This involves a simple procedure to place high-quality hormone pellets in the fatty tissue under the skin, which then secrete a steady level of the hormones over months.

The starting cost is $380, which is typical for women. It is higher for men who require significantly more testosterone.  Follow up visits and repeat blood work are included in treatment cost to ensure we are hitting desired goals.

The cost for non-pellet therapies will vary depending on the prescriptions and supplements specific to your plan.
